Emily Ayers is a Multimedia Journalist, Writer, and Adventurer.
She is passionate about using the power of truth-telling through her writing to captivate and engage audiences from diverse backgrounds.
Emily is studying Journalism and Anthropology at California State University of Long Beach and will be obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in May 2017. Her experience spans back to her first attempts at Journalism back in Middle School and has slowly grown into a passion. Emily wrote for her High School Newspaper at Long Beach Polytechnic High School.
As a freshmen at San Diego State University she spent one year as a News Writer for the Daily Aztec. Since transferring to CSULB she spent one year as a Staff Writer for The Union Weekly Newspaper writing for a range of sections from Arts, Culture, Community, Feature, and Music. Emily is also serving as the Press Secretary for CSULB’s Student Government Associated Students, Inc. where she works to maintain open communication between students and government officials.
In 2016 Emily launched her Travel and Lifestyle Blog called Creating Footprints, and began working as a Social Media Content Coordinator for Long Beach 908 Magazine, as well as doing some writing/contributing.
Just recently Emily has taken on a new project called The Self Podcast, where herself and fellow Journalist Jordan Daniels delve into a range of topics related to self-love, self-care, identity, and much much more.
Throughout her college career she has made it her goal to immerse herself completely into the world and to soak up as much as she can so that when she graduates she is filled with knowledge to take out into the world.
